Contract
A typical Thai school year is divided into two half-year terms. For the best possible teaching positions, it is strongly advised to apply for the beginning of each semester;
• The first semester begins May to September
• The second semester begins November to March
• October and April are holiday periods
Most schools in our network prefer long term contracts (2 semesters); however, all teachers are required to sign a minimum 1 term contract (1 semester). 1 or 2 term contracts are acceptable, and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis in concordance with the prospective school.
Teachers who sign a one-year contract beginning from November are guaranteed 3–4 weeks paid holiday during the October break.
Note:
The contract signing will take place on the first week of school. Contracts must be signed in person. Schools are not permitted to sign contracts long distance. When a school accepts a teacher, we will send an approval letter to officially confirm the teacher’s placement, which will conclude the application process.
